About
The liminal state is a state of transition, a state of uncertainty that we all experience more strongly during difficult life trials. We experience the liminal state as individuals in periods of personal crises, during social rituals, but possibly also when watching a play or performance. To some extent, we are in a state of crisis, uncertainty, almost every day, and even more so during the new corona virus. The instability that accompanies the path beyond the threshold is accompanied by the destabilization of “the perception of the world, oneself and the other […] also shakes the rules and norms […] the one who can cross it, can transforms” (Erika Fischer-Lichte). The play The Treshold is the second part of a personal trilogy entitled Niti PraGozd, which is developed from the author's first play Niti (Threads) from 2019. It deals with personal crises or transitional states that have left a strong mark on the author and certainly transformed her to some extent.
